Michael Graves is an experienced litigator in both federal and state court, with specific emphasis on collections and complex commercial litigation. His previous work included providing key litigation strategy on several bankruptcy adversary actions representing a Bankruptcy Trustee. He also worked on large-scale civil actions involving multiple defendants and millions of dollars in controversy. Michael has also managed hundreds of insurance defense actions, including cases involving racketeering, large-scale property loss, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury.

He attended the College of William & Mary, in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics in 1991. After college, Michael served his country as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. In that capacity, he co-piloted missions in the KC-130 Hercules, and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for four years. After the Marine Corps, he worked as a financial planner and ran his own business, which evaluated the risks and merits of plaintiffs’ lawsuits, evaluating over 2,000 different personal injury cases and over 300 commercial cases.  In evaluating plaintiffs’ cases, Michael provided expert witness testimony to the IRS in its arbitration program.

He attended the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2008 then began practicing law. In 2015 he purchased and operated a homeowners association management company with 15 employees and 50 HOAs under management and sold that company in 2019. Michael has been a resident of the Las Vegas area since 1998. He enjoys traveling, practicing martial arts, and competing as one of the 100 highest-ranked chess players in Nevada.
